See what needs sending
When your website sells online, the app’s tab bar has Orders beside Ask, and Website moves into More. Orders opens on To fulfil, so the first thing you see is what is still waiting to go out.
A sample of Low Tide Wine Co. orders on a phone. Everything on the screen works: filter the list, open an order and fulfil it, then look under More at the bottom of the order.
Orders
6 orders · 3 to fulfil
- Search. Tap the search button beside Orders and type an order number, a name or an email.
- The count line. A line like “6 orders · 3 to fulfil” counts every order that is not cancelled, and how many are waiting to go out.
- Each row. The order number and total, who placed it with how many items and when, then its payment and fulfilment.
What each filter shows
- To fulfil
- Paid orders with items still to send, including ones sent in part. The tab opens here. Unpaid and cancelled orders stay out.
- Unpaid
- Orders whose payment is still pending, closed or cancelled ones included.
- All orders
- Every order, closed and cancelled ones included.
- Open
- Orders that are neither closed nor cancelled. Your working list.
- Closed
- Orders you closed once they were done. Reopen one any time.
- Cancelled
- Only the orders that were cancelled.
Everything about one order
Tap an order to open it. The page reads in the order you work: where it stands, what was bought and paid, what has gone out, and who it is for. On a computer, the same order lives in Orders.
- Status
- When it was placed, its payment and fulfilment, one sentence on what is left, and Fulfil items while anything is waiting.
- Items
- Each product with its price, quantity and line total. A line with more than one unit says how many are fulfilled.
- Payment
- Subtotal, delivery, tax, any discount code and the total, then anything refunded.
- Fulfilments
- One card per parcel with its items and tracking, plus Edit tracking and Cancel fulfilment.
- Customer
- Name, email, phone and billing address, as they were entered at checkout.
- Delivery
- Where it goes, with Copy or share for the shipping address, or where it is picked up. Tracking shows here too.
- Notes and tags
- For your team. The customer never sees them.
- Timeline
- Everything that happened, newest first, ending with Order placed.
- More
- Refund, Close order or Reopen order, and Cancel order.
Fulfil items with tracking
Fulfilling records what went out, so the order, your list and the customer all agree. Do it the moment the parcel leaves your hands, with the tracking number still in front of you.

More
- Tap Fulfil items on the order. Every item still to send starts at its full amount, like “2 of 2”. Step one down to send part now, and the rest stays to fulfil.
- Choose the carrier. USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL are one tap. Other asks for the Carrier name.
- Type or paste the tracking number. A UPS, USPS or FedEx number picks its carrier for you, and the sheet says “Carrier picked from the number.”
- Check the tracking link. For the four named carriers it is written for you from the carrier and number. For Other, paste the link. Tracking is optional and can be added later.
- Tell the customer, then Fulfil items. Leave Tell the customer on to send the shipping email with the tracking. “Marked as fulfilled” confirms it.
An unpaid order asks first
An order still waiting for payment reads Unpaid, the same word as its filter, and its Fulfil items button is the quieter one. Tapping it asks “Fulfil this unpaid order?” Choose Fulfil anyway only if you are happy to ship before the money arrives.
Fulfil straight from an alert
A new order alert has two buttons, Fulfil and Open order. Fulfil opens the order with this sheet already up. An unpaid order opens without it, and asks first when you tap Fulfil items. See Fulfil from an alert.
Fix tracking, undo a parcel, close the order
Mistakes happen at the counter. Every parcel keeps its own actions under Fulfilments, and the order keeps Close order under More.
- Edit tracking
- Change the carrier, number or link on a parcel. It updates the customer’s order page and sends no email. A parcel sent without tracking offers Add tracking.
- Cancel fulfilment
- For a parcel that never left. The app asks first. Its items go back to waiting and the customer’s tracking stops working.
- Close order
- Moves a finished order out of Open straight away, with “Order closed” to confirm.
- Reopen order
- Brings a closed order back to Open. It is not offered on a cancelled order.
A closed order shows under Closed and All orders. If it is paid and something is still left to send, it stays under To fulfil too.
Cancel or refund an order
Both live under More at the bottom of an order, and both open a sheet that asks before anything happens. Neither deletes the order.

Cancel order
For an order that should not go out.
- Offered until everything has been sent. A partly sent order can still be cancelled.
- Pick a reason or write your own. It is kept on the order’s timeline.
- Paid by card? Refund the payment too is on, and the button reads Cancel and refund with the amount. The refund runs first.
- Keep order backs out. Nothing changes until you confirm.
Refund
For money going back, whether or not the order ships.
- Offered when the customer paid by card at your online checkout and some of it is left, like “$93.60 left”.
- The full amount goes back, unless you turn on Refund part of it and enter the Amount.
- The button names the amount, and “Refunded” with the amount confirms it.
- It usually appears on the customer’s card within five business days.
When there is no refund to give
The cancel sheet says why in one plain sentence, followed by “Cancelling it does not return any money.”
- Paid another way
- “This order was not paid by card through your online store, so it cannot be refunded here.” Refund is not offered, and cancelling returns no money.
- Already refunded
- “The payment has already been refunded in full.” Nothing is left to give back.
- A free order
- “This order was free, so there is no payment to refund.”
- Not paid yet
- An unpaid order has no money to return, so the cancel sheet shows no refund at all.
- Does the customer hear about a refund?
- Only if Tell the customer is on. It sends a refund confirmation email, and it starts on each time.
- Can I refund an order more than once?
- Yes. After a partial refund, Refund shows what is left, and the sheet says how much was already refunded.
- What if I type more than is left?
- The sheet says You can refund up to the amount left, and nothing goes back until the amount fits.
- Can I cancel an order that has gone out in full?
- No. Cancel order is offered only while something is still to send. Refund stays available for a card payment.
- Does cancelling put the stock back?
- Yes. Nothing else ships, the stock goes back, and the order stays in your records as cancelled.
Change stock, price and status
Open More, then Products. Every product shows its price and how many are left, so you can spot what is running low and fix a count while you stand at the shelf.
The sample wine shop’s products. Choose Low stock, open a product, then tap Status, Price or Stock to change it. Back goes to More, where Products lives.
7 products
How stock reads
- 18 in stock
- Plenty left: more than 6.
- 6 left
- Running low: 6 or fewer, in amber. Low stock lists these.
- Out of stock
- None left, in red. A product that takes backorders reads Backorders instead.
- Not tracked
- No count is kept, so it is never low. A digital product reads Digital.
Three quick changes
- Stock
- Type the new count or step it, and the sheet says what changes, like “6 becomes 9, 3 more.” Then Save stock.
- Price
- Change the Price, and set Compare at for the crossed-out price while it is on sale. The website shows the new price as soon as it saves.
- Status
- Active puts it on sale and Draft hides it. Taking it off the website asks first: “Take this product off your website?”
Counted at a location
When a product is counted at a location, the Stock sheet also asks for a reason, like Stock received or Count correction, and an optional note. The change lands in your stock history. See Inventory.
Make a discount code on the spot
Open More, then Discounts. Make a code while a customer is standing in front of you, then read it out, copy it or share it. It works at checkout as soon as it is created.
The sample wine shop’s codes. Tap + to make one, then share it, copy it, turn it off or delete it. Tap a code in the list to open it.
2 active codes
- Tap + in the corner of Discounts. The New discount code sheet opens with a code already suggested.
- Choose Percentage off or Amount off, and enter how much.
- Keep the code, type your own, or tap Generate. Codes are capitals with no spaces, because shoppers type them at checkout.
- Add limits if you want them. Under Optional, set a Minimum order, when it Ends (Tonight, In 7 days or In 30 days) and Total uses. A line reads it back, like “Shoppers get $10 off orders over $50, until Oct 3, up to 50 uses.”
- Tap Create code. The code opens, ready to use, with Share and Copy code at the top.
On the code’s page
- Share. Opens your phone’s share sheet with a message ready to send, like “Use code MARKETDAY for 15% off at” your website’s address.
- Copy code. Copies just the code, ready to paste into a post or a text.
- Turn off code. Asks first. Shoppers cannot use it until you turn it back on, and orders that already used it keep their prices.
- Delete code. Asks first. The code stops working right away.
What the status means
- Active
- Shoppers can use it now.
- Scheduled
- It starts on a later date.
- Off
- You turned it off. Turn on code brings it back within its dates and limits.
- Expired
- Its end date has passed, so there is no Turn on for it.
- Used up
- It has been used as many times as Total uses allows.
What stays on a computer
The app is made for the quick jobs that come up away from your desk. Setting up the store is still done in Mirin on a computer.
- New products. Adding or deleting products, and editing titles, descriptions, pictures, variants and SKUs. See Products.
- Archiving. The phone offers Active and Draft. Archive a product on a computer. An archived product opens on the phone, and can be brought back as either.
- Locations and tracking. Whether a product keeps a count, and where it is counted. See Inventory.
- Narrower discounts. Codes for chosen products, collections or customers, and free shipping codes. See Discounts.
- Order notes and tags. The phone shows them. Write them in Orders on a computer.
